Our Charlotte room offers a double bed and single bunk bed, a bathroom with bath and a lovely views of the garden. Cot provided on request. A buffet breakfast is served in the hotel lobby or on the large terrace and board games are available to borrow in the hotel lobby. In addition to visiting the wildlife park, you can also enjoy a multitude of walks and cycling trails in our beautiful region. And you can eat at our Forest’bar in the evening or ask us for information on restaurants in the surrounding area.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Is access to the wildlife park compulsory?

Yes, for the lodges it is, because the accommodation is located in the wildlife park.

How do I access the lodges?

Access is on foot from the main car park at Forestia. They’re a short walk away. Please note that check-in takes place at the Wood Hotel, a 2-minute drive away. You can’t drive in the park, which is all part of the adventure. One of our amazing colleagues will take your luggage to your lodge and collect it at the end of your stay. Access to the Forest’bar is on foot, but if you have any concerns, it’s also possible to order takeaway food to your lodge.

Where are the lodges located?

Our 5 lodges are scattered throughout the wildlife park. The BARRY is located in the highlands enclosure with a view of our black bears, the SIMONE is in our tarpan horse and fallow deer enclosure, the SCOTT is in our llama, yak and sika deer enclosure, the HARRY is next to our Canadian wolves and reindeer and the MATHILDE is near our European wolves and takins.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3 pm, but you can arrive earlier to enjoy the park (full package), and check-out is at 11 am, but if you chose the full package, you can stay in the park all day. If you’re staying at a lodge, we’ll transport your luggage for you.

What kind of breakfast do you offer?

Breakfast delivered to each lodge in one or more baskets (a variety of fresh, local produce) depending on the number of people.

Are meals compulsory?

Yes, you can’t cook in your lodge. Breakfast and evening meals (at the Forest’bar) are therefore included in the package.

Is the adventure park included when I book a stay?

No, but guests staying at the hotel and lodges enjoy a preferential price for the adventure park (when it’s open) if they choose the “full package” option

Can we get a cot in our room?

We’d love to welcome your little one (age 0-2). Please mention this when making your booking and we’ll provide a travel cot free of charge. In some lodges, a travel cot is already provided.

Is cleaning included?

Of course! This hotel service is available at the hotel and in the lodges.

Do I need to bring my own bed linen?

No, this hotel service is available at the hotel and in the lodges! We have very comfortable bedding, we hope you enjoy it!

WHO DESIGNED THE LODGES?

The lodges were created after several years of deliberation and with the help of the talented Olivier Fourneau (architect) and Kévin Bona (Label 5.9)

ARE THE LODGES EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL?

The lodges are not wheelchair-friendly as they are scattered throughout the hilly wildlife park and you have to walk to reach them. They’re all raised above ground level, so access is via steps. If you have young children, please remember to bring pushchairs and baby carriers.
