Application of the general terms and conditions

These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all services sold by FENRIS SA, also known as Forestia, a public limited company under Belgian law, with its registered office at Rue du Parc 1, 4910 Theux and registered with the Banque-Carrefour des Entreprise under number 0476.915.148 (hereinafter the Establishment) to individuals or groups of individuals dealing directly with the Establishment (hereinafter referred to as the Client or Clients, as applicable); With the sole exception of the accommodation services, which have their own general terms and conditions of sale.

Any purchase of goods or services offered by the Establishment implies acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

Booking procedures

It is also possible to book directly onsite by visiting the Establishment’s reception during opening hours.

All bookings are firm and final once they have been confirmed by the Establishment by sending a confirmation email to the Client. The Client certifies the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided during the booking process. In particular, the Client will be asked to provide his/her details and contact information.

The Client acknowledges having read the description and validity period of the services, as well as the general terms and conditions of sale.

Staff are authorised to request proof of identity, such as a student card or senior citizen card, from anyone claiming a concessionary price.

The photographs on our website and booking software are not contractually binding.

Payment methods

The visit must be paid for in full at the time of booking by debit or credit card or by any other means of payment offered by the secure booking platform.

No payment information is transmitted to the Establishment. The Establishment accepts no responsibility for the online payment process.

Prices

The price shown at the end of the booking process is in euros, including VAT. It does not include any additional expenses incurred onsite.

The price is valid only for the period indicated at the time of booking. Promotions are temporary and are not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.

The price of additional services and supplements may vary depending on age.

The Establishment reserves the right to amend the prices listed on the website at any time. However, it is understood that the price indicated when the customer books their stay will be the only one applicable.

Personal data

The Establishment processes personal data for the possible purposes of market research, commercial promotions, commercial statistics and satisfaction surveys, as well as for the purposes of marketing and advertising campaigns.

Consent to the processing of data for commercial marketing purposes may be withdrawn at any time and at no cost by the Client by sending an email to the Establishment at hello@forestia.be

The Establishment is committed to protecting your personal data. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we hereby inform you that:

  • When booking your visit, we ask you for certain information necessary for processing your booking and, as mentioned above, for statistical and commercial purposes. This information is kept secure by our Web Designer.
  • Apart from this use, we do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation

Services that have been paid for by the Client will not be refunded upon cancellation.

Annual passes are for the named person only and may not be transferred to a third party under any circumstances, whether free of charge or for a fee.

No-show

If the Client does not show up on the agreed date, he/she will not be entitled to any refund from the Establishment.

No right of withdrawal

As stated in the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to any accommodation services or online purchases made on our website.

Amendment or cancellation by the seller – force majeure

If, prior to the visit, the performance of one of the services is rendered impossible due to an event beyond the Establishment’s control, the latter will notify the Client in advance, except in case of force majeure, and will offer to amend the booking.

The Establishment reserves the right to cancel or suspend a visit for safety reasons, for example, due to extreme weather conditions (strong winds, storms, thunderstorms, flooding, etc.) or any other case of force majeure. In this case, the Establishment would be forced to stop all or part of its activities for the safety of its clients for a period deemed necessary by the Establishment.

Visits

The Client undertakes to visit the premises responsibly. Behaviour deemed contrary to good morals may result in a request to leave the Establishment. This will be without refund or other compensation for services already paid for by the Client.

For health and safety reasons, it is strictly prohibited to bring animals on to the Establishment’s premises, with the sole exception of guide dogs for blind or visually impaired persons. However, the Establishment reserves the right to assess the situation.

During visits to the wildlife park, we cannot guarantee that animals will be visible (due to hibernation, overwintering, quarantine, work in the enclosure, etc.). Although visits are based on observing the animals, they often have the opportunity to hide. These circumstances do not give rise to any compensation.

Complaints

For any complaints, the client must write to the following address, enclosing all supporting documents: hello@forestia.be or by post to Forestia Rue du Parc 1, 4910 Theux, Belgium within 10 days of the date of departure from the Establishment, otherwise the complaint will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Our Clients are responsible for any loss and/or damage suffered by the Establishment, whether such loss/damage is the direct or indirect consequence of an act or negligence on their part, as well as for any damage caused to our facilities.

The Establishment accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to vehicles parked in the Forestia car park.

Behaviour in the wildlife and adventure parks

During visits to the wildlife park, the Internal Regulations apply.

During visits to the adventure park, the Internal Regulations for the adventure park apply.

During visits, it is forbidden to enter private premises or climb over the safety barriers and fences.

The entire Forestia park is non-smoking. Offenders will be liable to prosecution.

Applicable law

For all bookings, only Belgian law applies and the courts of Liège and Verviers will have exclusive jurisdiction.
